Portugese Pastéis de Nata

Having made a replica-Nandos dinner (‘macho peas’; ‘spicy rice’; peri-peri chips; 1/2 chicken & garlic bread) I could only follow it up with a homemade version of Nando’s rather excellent ‘naughty natas’, or as they are more traditionally called in Portugal, Pastéis de Nata. I dipped back and forth between recipes and used the correct little tins for them, brought home by somebody from a Portugese holiday. They are wonderful with tea or coffee.
