I’ve always loved homemade sausage rolls – well, actually all sausage rolls if I’m honest – but homemade are especially delicious, as you can choose which flavours and herbs to add to the meat mix.
This cake takes a bit of time and a careful scan of the ingredients list (top tip: count the number of lemons before you start!) but is truly gorgeous, and would be a beautifully light, luxurious & very, very lemony way to end a special family meal.
As well as being a pretty & impressive gift, these jam thumbprint cookies make for a beautiful ‘Alice in Wonderland’ style addition to afternoon tea and will be loved by all ages.
